OMG, I had so much fun in Branson. I love going places, traveling and what not. LURVE IT. ^^
So the trip started out pretty good, we left Muldrow around 9am, after it took forever for my mom to get ready since she wasn't prepared, as always. >__< I was in charge of the directions while my mom was driving.
We went through the Bobby Hopper Tunnel on the way there. I've always been told to hold my breath and make a wish as you drive through it, so I talked my mom and brother into doing it to. x]
I took a crap load of photos on the way there, the scenery is just A-MAZ-ING!
And, had to throw some of myself in there. xD
We arrived in Branson around 12:30pm. We went and ate at this restaurant called McFarlaine's. (When we go to new towns and such, we love eating at new places. x]) It was actually in the huge IMAX theater that they have there. The food was really good and my brother and mom were laughing the whole time. I couldn't help but get on MSN Mobile and talk to Alex for a bit. ^^
So after we ate, we drove to the area where our cabin was located at a place called Twin Oaks, and let me tell you, that place was hard to find. O__O It was wayyy out in the boonies by the lake. Took us a good hour to get there after trying to interpret the directions, haha. Once we got there, we unpacked and rested for about an hour, I called Alex and laid down for a bit. :)
Then, we headed back into Branson, which was about a thirty minute drive. Traffic wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
We went back to the IMAX theater and watched a movie on their 6-story tall screen, which was freakin' huge! O__O After that we went to Wal-Mart to buy a few things, then drove over to this place where we played indoor miniature golf. OMGAWD, when I'm around my mom and brother, we're always popping off with hilarious remarks and what not, so we're always laughing about something. I kicked ass at mini-golf and my brother was sucking pretty bad for some reason. A few times, he hit the ball too hard and swung it into bushes and shit, and my mom and I were cracking up so bad. And on every course that was uphill, he wouldn't hit it hard enough and the ball would roll down. It was so fucking hilarious. I was laughing so hard and everyone was looking at me like wth? (that happens to me A LOT XD).
Next morning, we went to the Bob Evan's Restaurant, which had to have the best country fried steak and scrambled eggs EVER!! ON THE PLANET! Seriously. My brother even loved them, and he hates eggs! That tells you something xD Well after I ate a shitload of food (T__T), we went into the gift store they had there. My brother and I walked into this section which had tons of toys and I saw this unicorn thing that I had to get a picture with (whenever I see unicorns I think of that Charlie-Candy Mountain video on youtube LOL So this was a must. >__>)
As soon as we were done there, we headed over to the Titanic Museum. Wow, it was awesome and so interesting! Besides the outside of the museum which actually looks like the Titanic, the inside was gorgeoussss, but unfortunately cameras and phones aren't allowed to be used inside which sucks because the Grand Staircase looked so beautiful! The first floor had stuff from the actual Titanic and letter and such that people had written while on board. It was all really touching to see and read. The second floor had props from the actual Titanic movie, like Rose's coat and red dress, and the hats that they ladies wore. It was really, really awesome! ^^ Oh, and at the beginning of the tour they give you a small pamphlet that tells about someone who was REALLY on the Titanic and a short true story behind them. And as you go through the museum, you can find something about them. At the end of the tour, there's this HUGE glass wall that has all the names of the people who were on the Titanic, and if their name was underlined that meant that person survived. Well, the girl I had died. =/
After that we went SHOPPING at the Tanger Outlet Mall, we spent quite a few hours there and I got some cute stuff. ^^ I even saw a freakin' Reese's candy machine! >__> Never seen one of those before, and it only made me want some BADD. T___T Talk about a diet ruiner. =/
After we went shopping we went to another movie at the IMAX because they had a special half-off deal. Then, we wen to this place called Ride The Ducks. I've been there once when I was really little, about 7, and it was pretty much the same as I remember. lol You get on this amphibious vehicle that takes you on tour around Branson and out onto the lake like a boat. It's really fun and our tour guide was hilarious. xD
After we drove the tour was over, my mom, brother, and I drove over to the dam to take a few pictures of the sunset. :)
Then, we went to this place with indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf. I totally sucked at this game, it was horrible! :3 I'm just not good at playing in the dark I guess. >__> My brother wasn't either because my mom beat us both by a A LOT! xD At one part of the course there were these eggs sitting there, and as I walked over to them, they started squawking and shaking (they were set off by a motion detector) and I must have jumped sky high. LMAO
Next we went to this place called Danna's BBQ and Burgers and the cheeseburgers there were delicious! O__O
We didn't get home until around 10pm, but we had tons of fun and we were worn out for sure. So on our last day in Branson, we went to this place called Dogwood Canyon to do a six mile hike! Now, at first I was going to wear my running shoes, but I figured we would be out int eh sun all day so I didn't want to have tan lines on my feet, because I already have them bad enough. xD So me, being smart, I wear my freakin' flip flops to go walking through it. Bad idea. My feet are super sore, still. It was worth it though, the landscapes were so pretty there, and I took loads of photos. ^^ Though about a half mile into walking, my bother started walking into these huge spiderwebs and I have a phobia of spiders so I'm like freakin' out and getting paranoid that I'm going to walk right into one of them. *shivers* hated it. -__-
Happy 4th of July everyone! ^__^ I love this holiday because it means time for family, food, and fireworks! >__> Going to my grandparents' house in Okmulgee, like we have every year since I could remember, it's pretty much our tradition now. We always go to the town's fireworks display and we almost always run into people we know because my grandpa knows EVERYONE in that town. LOL He's lived there his whole life and he's VERY outgoing. Anddd, I'm gonna take some piccys while I'm there too hopefully. I need more pictures of the family. ^^
Though this year my dad will not be joining us due to my parents getting a divorce. It's still pretty awkward being around them both at times. My dad began moving out yesterday though. My brother and I went to see his new place and it's a lot nicer than I thought it would be. Pretty cozy it seems and it's only like a three minute drive away. ^__^ He doesn't completely move out until Monday, I think. Our house looks somewhat empty since some of the furniture is gone. =/ I don't like emptiness. Ugh.
My mom, brother, and I are going on a vacation soon to Branson, MO. I've only been there two times, once when I was like 7 and again when I was 15, so that should be fun. We usually go to the amusement park or something, but this year we're going to do other things. I'm looking forward to it. =D
Also, supposed to be going to the Netherlands in August. Plane ticket prices need to go dooowwnn! They're not as bad as they were, I just hope they stay that way. >__>
Hmm and this week our cell phone contract was up so we bought new phones. I got the Samsung Blackjack II with the data plan (for internet) and the damn thing won't let me get on my instant messengers or go to internet sites. T___T I'll probably take it to AT&T next week and see what the eff is up. Though reading online about it, it seems like everyone has this problem. ^^; Greaatttt. U.U
